…and it doesn’t look like it’s May.
It’s all well and good that Blizzard has told us about all their plans for the future of Hearthstone but at the moment the game feels like it’s in a bit of a lull. We know that with the release of the next expansion, Whispers of The Old Gods, the game game will receive quite a few gameplay changes in the form of changes to the Basic and Classic sets as well as the introduction of the Standard and Wild formats.
The only problem is players have been told that this expansion is coming at some point towards the end of April and beginning of May. This means that players are currently just waiting, too scared to craft cards or in no way motivated to try new things with new cards on the way. Well, it looks like this apathy towards Hearthstone may be coming to an end soon if a Reddit user’s discovery is anything to go by.
If this finding is to believed, that means we’ll be seeing the release of Whispers of The Old Gods on the 26th of April, which is a lot better than having to wait till the beginning of May. While this does seem a little strange, as almost every every other place says “late April/early May”, it’s still quite a plausible date. If this is the intended date for release, it does leave enough space for Blizzard to finish up with their spoilers for the new set and, judging by how much there is still to reveal, this is quite possibly when we’ll see Whispers of The Old Gods.
So, now that we have a date to look forwards to, any cards you are specifically looking forward to? I personally can’t wait to see waht we can make out of the Old Gods, but I’m sure there will be far more interesting decks that will creep out of the woodwork come the release of Whispers.

The best person to offer the worst opinion. Paul's interests include adding 100 hour JRPGs to his backlog and dark walks through dungeons. You'll probably find him rambling on about old man Nintendo or that crazy newfangled eSports thingy.
