This is, admittedly, a bit of a strange time for western Monster Hunter fans. Not only are they about to catch up without the Japanese release of Monster Hunter X, but they’re not going to have to wait for the ‘ultimate’ edition of the game before being able to do so. The best part is, we don’t even have to wait a whole year to get all of this. It’s a pretty good time to be a Monster Hunter fan.

Bringing with it quite a few changes to the traditional Monster Hunter series, Generations is the next entry in popular series by Capcom. While I’ve trouble getting in the these games in the past, the new flashy hunting arts definitely have my attention and the fact that I will be able to play as a felyne is almost a dream come true.

Monster Hunter Generations will release on the 15th of July and will bring with it a rather snazzy looking limited edition 3DS console to celebrate the occasion.
