Are you old like me, have a full-time job, squeeze in recreational time between family commitments and don’t want to wade through a 1200 word essay to figure out whether to watch/ play/ experience something? Then these reviews are for you

Bourne is a return to form and Matt Damon washes the awful taste of the Jeremy Renner cash-in that burnt so many of us. The movie picks up where the last one ended so do brush up on your Bourne mythology before going in. It’s best to not watch it unless you’ve seen the first 3 (watch the fourth one if you hate yourself) as the nostalgia and winks will be wasted on the naive.

Should you watch this in the cinema?

Maybe – It’s a solid action thriller and updates the formula enough to accommodate a vastly different world. Some action scenes tend to be overlong and uninspired (like the Cuba bit they tacked on at the end of Bad Boys 2) and Bourne might be a little too clairvoyant at times but unless you’re a die-hard fan, you could get away with watching at home provided you have a sweet HD set-up.
