Captain America shocked the entire internet to its core last week when he officially announced his involvement with Hydra. He’s been an Agent Of Hydra all this time. Now while nerd rage is at an all time high, Chris Evans is having a mental breakdown and Americans are running through the streets screaming and hiding their babies – there are several reasons this won’t stick.

The Comic Book World

The comic book world is at best an nuthouse reflection of the cinematic universe and a source of absolutely insane ideas and ‘what if’ scenarios thrown together by people who base their entire lives on ‘hey you know what might be cool?’. Very little of what goes on in the comic books filters onto the screen.

Marvel did confirm that it’s the real Cap, they confirmed he’s not being controlled and they confirmed that he’s been with Hydra all along. So now suddenly an icon of justice and freedom turns out to be Osama Bin Laden…and this won’t last long.

While Marvel is very impressed with themselves at this point, this won’t last. All this arch is set to achieve is the replacement or death of Captain America and it definitely won’t filter onto the cinematic universe Marvel has been building. It would piss off too many people and would set an impossible spin on Civil War.

If you thought Batman V Superman tanked – just wait till Marvel announces a film called Captain America: Agent Of Hydra.

Opposition

What do you think will happen to Captain America when every hero on the fucking planet decides to target him all at once?

The Greater Scheme Of Things

In the grand scheme of things Captain America is Captain AMERICA and him being an agent of Hydra (on the cosmic scale) makes about as much difference as a red shirt dying on any given episode of Star Trek.

While it’s a nice twist to breathe some new life into the Marvel comics – I doubt when faced with the likes of someone in the league of Thanos he’ll care much who Captain America works for before squashing him like a grape.

In Closing

Captain America is actually Captain Puerto Rico and while Puerto Rico is technically part of America I just can’t imagine Captain America running around as an agent of Hydra with that outfit…which is why they gave him this badass outfit below I guess.

Werner is a strange one...he quotes a lot of things...incoherently I might add, also he reviews stuff from time to time. We still don't truly understand what he is or where he came from.

To quote him verbatim:

Make sure they see my twitter handle so I can get hookers and drugs.
