Video Game Feature: Lets Play The Forest

You are on a plane with your son, there is an announcement that the aircraft is entering a turbulent area. A few seconds later you know there is something wrong. The plane crashes you awaken briefly only to see your son being taken by a strange man, and then you black out.

You should wash yourself dude.

Welcome to The Forest an open world survival game available on steam. It features both single player and co-op play. At this time it’s still in development but it is available as a fully playable Alpha version, constantly being updated as they get feedback from the community.

You will have access to a unique crafting system and with the help of your survival book be able to build structures that will help you survive. For example you can combine a stick, skull and a piece of cloth to make a club you can set alight and use as either a light source or to set enemies alight. There is also a save feature that allows you to re-join a session if you are playing from the same host.

The island is a very beautiful and peaceful setting, but it has a dark side as it’s inhabited by cannibals that will find you and try to kill you. As you progress the enemies become stronger and even more cunning. So remember keep your guard up.

This is why you must build a base as fast as you can, and stay indoors at night unless you want to become a midnight snack. You can use traps to kill them or make weapons to fight them off. But remember you can become infected, so wash yourself regularly.

It my look quiet but the cannibals are everywhere.

Your surroundings have an abundant supply of food, all you need to do is catch it. And all your building materials can be found around you.

Darkness falls better seek shelter.
