Gameplay

The gameplay is pretty simple. It’s a basic puzzle game designed to make you think about how you can get to your objective in the least amount of moves. Players will need to avoid the big bad wolf, distract hungry bears and feed rabbits to giant spiders in order to safely get Little Red Riding Hood to Granny’s house.

Some of the levels are pretty easy, but it slowly becomes more and more challenging. The only thing that I would like to see more of is the harder levels. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and it would have been cool if there was a difficulty setting.

I did find the music really annoying, but that is more just personal preference. I’m happy that it doesn’t play continuously through a level or I might have lost my mind. Although there is this strange wooden instrument sound that plays if you leave the game open on a level. You can, of course, just turn the sound off in settings.

Graphics

One of my favourite things about this game is visuals. I am a huge Sims fan, so any game that gives me a chance to customise my gaming experience is good in my books. A Day In The Woods lets you change your spirits wings, tail, colour and background themes. Players can choose from summer, spring, autumn, winter and Halloween.

Last week ago I announced that Retro Games was discounting A Day In The Woods for the whole month of December. For only $1.99 it seemed like a pretty sweet deal to check out this mobile game for myself. Gameplay The gameplay is pretty simple. If you love puzzle games, fairy tales and want a game that won't be a waste of money, A Day In The Woods is a pretty solid choice. It's great fun to play in the bathroom, when you need to look busy on public transport or when Telkom has you on hold.
