Event: Cosplayers Rage Against The Machines

Yes, the rAge Expo 2016 received huge attention from the gaming fraternity in South Africa, due to the ever-increasing popularity of e-sports, virtual reality gaming and the other assortments at rAge we usually can’t wait to get our hands on. But a little corner of the Dome was rumbling. A new age had begun. All through this giant arena, through the different hallways and past the stalls. Cosplayers. Cosplayers everywhere.

Not just because of this year’s edition of the GES rAge Cosplay contest, but also, this is the first year that the expo had a designated Cosplay Zone, with their own hall and stage, all thanks to the increasingly huge cosplay community that is growing in South Africa. With special guest speakers handing out tips and advice, as well as hosting Q&A sessions, this year was going to be something special. Cosplay is not a side show anymore. Cosplayers want to be seen and heard. Do you think The Khanival would turn down the opportunity to share an entire weekend with a bunch of talented, wild, eccentric, over the top, fun and exciting people in make up and costume? Hell no. This was home and the Khanival was ready, camera in hand, to go behind the scenes and witness this phenomenon. Come inside and enjoy the show.
