It has been said that collecting items, be they comic books, action figures, etc. is akin to assembling pieces of yourself that have been scattered across the stars. It is only through collecting them that one can feel whole again. Who said that, you may ask? Well, I did!
There may come a time, however, when you have assembled yourself and the remaining fragments are no longer needed. It is during times such as these that most beings throughout the galaxy wonder about where they can dispose of unwanted goods. Well, if you have travelled to the outer rim you may have chanced upon the backwater world known as Tatooine where the Jawas make a living through trading with the inhabitants.
The Jawa trading post will be on hand at Geekfest 2016 and will be situated next to the Dark Carnival stall, to assist you. . The Trading post functions like this: You will bring your unwanted comics, books, games, figurines, cosplay costumes etc. to the Trading post and they will sell it for you (Aren’t Jawas the best?). You have to specify how much you would like to sell your unwanted goods for , though and at the conclusion of the days’ proceedings, you can swoop back in to the Trading Post and collect your cash, with 10% of the takings going to the Trading post as commission. You will have to take your goods back home with you, though, as they don’t store goods overnight. A box can be rented at the post for R20 per day to house your merchandise. Oh, before I forget, there’s a policy which prohibits the sale of biological materials at the post, so all you bounty hunters who were eager to bring in your bounties, it is advised that you go trade somewhere else.
