This past week saw the release of “Pete’s Dragon”, “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” and “Florence Foster Jenkins”. Despite this, they couldn’t remove “Suicide Squad” from the number one position which it managed to hold onto to for the second weekend in a row. To date, “Suicide Squad” has grossed R21 million in the South African box office. The highest earning movie in the top ten has been “Central Intelligence” which has managed to accumulate R27 million. “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” grossed R1.4 million this week while “Pete’s Dragon” earned R1.3 Million in it’s first weekend. “Florence Foster Jenkins” grossed R443ooo.
