TV Series News: New Game of Thrones Season 6 character photos tell us some stories

Spoilers for those that haven’t watched until season 5 will follow. Be warned.

Game of Thrones season 5 had many of my friends conflicted. A number of them have sworn off the series giving the reason that the show focused too much on trying to shock its audience and they got tired of the numerous stories. I won’t say I fully agree with them, but the series wasn’t as enjoyable as previous seasons for me. Still, there were a lot of shining moments such as the giant battle with the Whitewalkers. And of course the shocking revelation of Jon Snow’s death.

Lots of threads were left unresolved and near the end of the season, everything felt like one giant setup. That makes the hype so much more real for season 6 since we will finally see what happens to our favourite characters. With that said, here are some early pictures from the new season for your perusal. They tell us some things about what will happen to some characters with the most glaring one being that Sansa and Theon survived their little leap of faith that happened in the last season. Also, notably, no Jon Snow in sight. But that was probably intentional. Others also give us more of a picture of what events will transpire when the season finally airs this April.
