I admittedly do not know a lot about the various superhero themed series out there such as Arrow, The Flash and of course, Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter. There’s too many to wrap my head around and it would take months for me to catch up to everything, but my spheres have been abuzz with how these shows are actually pretty good (with some going full comic book fanboy sometimes). Agent Carter was a spin-off of Agents of SHIELD and while the show did receive good reviews, its numbers were pretty abysmal compared to its immediate competition.
The TV show space is changing and as more people move away from conventional television, some shows will suffer. And therefor, Agent Carter was cancelled by ABC. Its cancellation was one of many others such as Castle, Nashville, The Family, The Muppets and Galavant. It seems ABC just moved in there with an axe and violently cancelled every underperforming show. Many of these shows had their own fanbase and Castle was a very long running series.
The TV space is getting more and more cutthroat now, it seems. Hopefully you tune into your favourite shows because they might just see the Ether if you don’t.
