Video Game News: More Evidence That Dead Island 2 Is Cancelled

Dead Island 2 has been stuck in limbo. The original developer TechLand went on their own and the project was given to legendary developers Yager. Then they all got shafted and the project was handed over to Sumo Digital. Since then we have heard exactly nothing about the game, making many worried that it is just not meant to be.

There’s been talks that the game will be cancelled, but an official announcement has never been given. Now we have a little more evidence that it is a lost case. The game’s Steam page was entirely removed along with tags, descriptions and so on. It certainly doesn’t give a colourful outlook on the zombie game.

This isn’t of course set in stone and they might have just been doing some restructuring or updating it, but these are all long shots. It’s a shame because I was really excited for the game at first. Firstly because Yager was behind it and they’re one of my favourite developers and secondly the trailer was all types of dope when it released at E3 2014. We’ll see how this develops.
