XCOM is a fantastic franchise. It’s a classic franchise that was adapted for the modern age, but all the depth was still brought along. It is a no nonsense turn based strategy game that pits you against some extremely ferocious enemies and tests your skills as a commander. XCOM Enemy Unknown blew the doors open when it first released and then XCOM 2 took everything that Enemy Unknown did right and turned everything up to 11, giving us a game of the ages.
The two games were first available on PC, but console versions did come eventually. XCOM 2 is no exception and we now know that it will release for Xbox One and PS4 on the 9th of September. No real details were given except that the port will be handled by The Workshop and that the controls will obviously be overhauled to work on console.
I’m super excited for this since I don’t have a gaming PC to run the game and I was a huge fan of Enemy Unknown. Hopefully the port is up to snuff.
