Video Game News: Final Fantasy XII Remaster Coming In 2017

Final Fantasy and I have a bit of an estranged relationship. I really love the series, but in total I have played 4 Final Fantasy games. 8, 13, 13-2 and 14. So not exactly a super fan. The reason why I haven’t played a lot of the games is because they simple weren’t available to me at the time, which saddens me because it is such a good series. So naturally I’m very happy that a lot of the classic games are getting the remaster treatment. FF7 is of course the big one that I have yet to play and now I can also look forward to Final Fantasy XII. The entry that many fans consider one of the strongest.

Final Fantasy XII originally released in 2006 on the Playstation 2 and they are busy remastering it for a 2017 release under the new title Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. Additionally, there will be more combat options and a new Zodiac job system that was only available in the Japanese version of the game. It will feature new combat and all of the usual remaster upgrades. It is confirmed for PS4, but nothing else as of yet.

I’m pretty excited to give this a whirl since I did miss it way back. Playing it with better graphics and new features seems like the best option, won’t you say?
