The original Watch Dogs was quite a violent game, despite it having a huge emphasis on hacking. You shot the hell out of people with a wide array of guns and completely wrecked everything in your path at some points. There was stealth in the game, but it wasn’t something you could focus on all the time and usually combat broke out at certain points.

However, with Watch Dogs 2, they are allowing you to potentially play the whole game without killing a single person. In an interview, game director Danny Belanger was asked if fully non-lethal playthroughs will be possible and he said “Absolutely. One of our goals is to support non-lethal. We’re trying to do more than that, but right now what I can say is, definitely non-lethal is possible. And it’s actually one of the values we want to push in this game.”

Good news for all you pacifists out there. This is interesting since it can potentially transform your entire game. Deus Ex changed dramatically when you decided to not kill anyone and a stealth-only run gave a completely different experience. I’m curious to see how they will go about this in Watch Dogs 2 with all the hacking capabilities and so on.
