So you’re a gamer who is forced to live with the failing Rand in South Africa and getting disheartened by the raising game prices, which let’s face it, is enough to drive anyone off to find a cheaper hobby to invest your hard earned cash into?
But never fear, enter stage left one of the most ambitious websites for gamers and technopheliacs alike, Cheap Gamer whose sole aim it is to make games and gaming accessories more accessible to us broke folks who simply cannot afford the R1000+ mark for most games these days.
Case in point, Dragon Age Inquisition has been on my radar for a while now, and yes my fiance does own it on Xbox One (and we do have sharing enabled), but I have been playing the other games on my PC, so naturally I’d want a PC version. But as with all the other platforms, pc game prices has skyrocketed as well in recent months so a lot of the games are wholly inaccessible to myself and many other gamers out there.
If it wasn’t for Cheap Gamer, I would not have known that Incredible Connection had DA: I was on sale for R20 a few weeks ago. The same can be said for many other wonderful products that for some reason ends up on sale at several large retailers without us, the end consumer, who could benefit the most from these specials, ever knowing about it. Even MJ, who is a cheapskate of note (we love you MJ) swears by Cheap Gamer as he has spent several months doggedly keeping an eye on their site to ensure he always takes advantage of the specials they spend meticulous hours trying to get the info to you, the much deserving consumer. MJ has scored many a great deal as a result of the hard work from the guys at Cheap Gamer.

But don’t take my word for it, head on over to www.cheapgamer.co.za , register for the newsletter, heck, bookmark them or add them to your phone’s home screen. Don’t miss a great special ever again.
As part of our partnership, we will be sharing the love by posting up all the great specials you can find over at Cheap Gamer, right here on Geek Node. So keep an eye out for that.
