Geek Node Podcast 30: Becoming a Youtuber in South Africa

This entry is part 28 of 30 in the series Geek Node Podcast Our final podcast of 2016 turned out to be quite chaotic in that 2 of the scheduled guests pulled out at the last minute and due to all the changes to the recording day (Sunday to Monday, then to Sunday and ultimately back to Monday again) our returning hero, Zakeroph kinda got himself bound up (apparently Bianca is very good at tying knots).

So yes, we ended up with myself as host, as per usual, as well as Chantelle “ChaniZA” Alexander as well as Grant Hinds, our favourite pink-haired friend from the country of Cape Town. Despite a case of severe sunburn, Mr. Hinds was a real sport and joined us on Monday night for the recording. Somewhere inbetween all of that Gatsusama also joined us, inbetween all his mic technical difficulties. With all this chaos one would swear it is a Geek Node podcast. Yep we’ve come to expect things to go crazy at our recordings and this month’s one has been no different.

What did we speak about though, you ask? Simple, we introduced our readers to the wonderful world of Youtubing in South Africa. How to get into it, to be more specific. Straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth as it were. In addition to some helpful tips and tricks, we also spoke about the still continuing console wars (seriously why? I think we should get over it already, gaming is gaming), Star Wars Rogue One, the Assassin’s Creed movie, as well as our favourite Youtubers at the moment.
