Greetings Nodians

So we have a had an interesting few weeks here on the Node!

As part of our ongoing drive to create a vibrant infotainment hub on the site we have implemented a myriad of changes to the site in line with feedback we received from you guys.

Aside from some layout and cosmetic changes we have also implemented among other things:

  • Improved content vetting mechanisms
  • New content categories
  • Slight tweaking of the existing department and categories, and of course,
  • A more interactive social media presence.

As a result of this soft launch, you will be introduced to some new faces who promise to bring more magic to the site.

Additionally, and in response to a really inspired suggestion by a few of our readers, we’ve implemented a “TIP JAR” mechanism which will allow you at your discretion to offer a tip to our writers for their works.

As always we welcome suggestions and ideas for features and you are welcome to contact any of the section editors with your suggestions.

They are:

Zane Van Heerden (TheStranger) – Tech Department

Jacques du Ploy (StuntZA)- Gaming Department

Zaid Motala (DarthZadyBun) – Geeky Goods

I will continue to hold down the fort as editor in chief with the StuntZA as my assistant chief (absolute power being a corruptor and all that).

I will also be holding the reins for the Entertainment department. (Movies and TV Series) just until we are able to allocate that mantle to someone.

Feel free to fiddle around the site and let us have your feedback.

Change is a necessary albeit challenging process and we look forward to your continued support as we creatively work to take the site to the next level.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
