Video Game News: Fallout Anthology

I have to sadly admit that I haven’t been a fan of the Fallout series since its release in 1997 not only because I was a wee lad age 7 back then but the hype train didn’t really get to me until recently. With all the commotion of Fallout 4 and persistence from friends I thought I had nothing to lose and I dipped my toe into the radioactive water.

As I prefer to go back to the start when starting new games with multiple sequels, to avoid the Witcher incident of 2011, where I thought it would be a great idea to play The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and then decided to try out The Witcher which just didn’t work out for me. Anyway before this post turns into a Witcher post I will return to the subject at hand.

I decided I will go back all the way to 1997 and start at the very beginning and boy was I surprised. I proceeded to purchase the Fallout Anthology which is R450.00 through Takealot . I did a little dance when I saw the packaging. All the games are in awesome sleeves with beautiful artwork on them and there is even a sleeve for Fallout 4 with a cardboard disc in, that gave me a little heart attack, to ensure your collection is intact. My favourite component was the mini-nuke that housed all the games. It is beautifully designed and sturdy enough for you not to worry about accidently breaking it. (It even has a button to make nuke sounds, I won’t even admit how many times I’ve pressed it). Overall I am happy that I made this purchase and can’t wait to play and experience the world of Fallout. Even after removing the games from the Mini-Nuke you can still use it to stash other things too!
