Back in October a certain Reddit user named Lumpawarroo pooped out a theory that Jar-Jar is in fact a Sith Lord. Laughable – I know. That fumbling idiot, comic relief, the guy who can barely talk or walk properly – who was all but cut out of Episode 2 and 3? Surely not , no! What’s freaky is the theory might be true.

Nonsense! – I hear you shout while clutching your lightsaber…but bear with me.

Let’s examine some of the finer details here. Remember Yoda? Of course you do! Remember how he was introduced into the story originally? He was an unimportant, fumbling, green little man that didn’t seem to be much of anything.

Lucas himself said this concerning Yoda;

“Yoda really comes from a tradition in mythological storytelling- fairy tales- of the hero finding a little creature on the side of the road that seems very insignificant and not very important, but who turns out to be the master wizard, or the master thing…” – So that applied to Yoda – Why can’t it apply to Jar-Jar?

Palpatine & Jar-Jar are Master & Apprentice

Okay, now – Jar-Jar was banished by his own people, they didn’t banish him because he was clumsy – they most likely banished him because he ran off to train with Palpatine (they ARE on the same planet, both native to Naboo), who came from the very people they don’t ‘like’. Not only that, when he returns to the Gungans with the 2 jedi early in Episode 1 they don’t even want to let him into the city – they point spears at him. Why would they be so threatening towards an unarmed person of their own kind? – Not because he’s clumsy, I can tell you that much.

Jar-Jar VERY conveniently met up with the 2 Jedi in Episode 1 and somehow managed to accompany them through the entire journey while subtly manipulating his way around. In fact he’s responsible for pretty much the entire direction they took until they got to The Jedi Temple.

Think back…how did the jedi even meet Anakin? Jar-Jar got his face stuck to something and Anakin helped him. Anakin was very skillfully maneuvered to Palpatine’s influence and reach by none other than Jar-Jar Binks.

In fact Jar-Jar was even present at the very end of Episode 1…and stood right next to Palpatine @ Qui-Gon’s funeral.

Why choose that guy to stand next to? Surely you’d prefer to stand next to someone you know, like Obi-Wan…or Anakin? He chooses to stand next to someone he doesn’t know. But that’s the thing isn’t it? Jar-Jar does stand next to someone he knows – he stands next to his master, Palpatine!

Jar-Jar later managed to procure a position of power in the Senate during Episode 2 and 3 as an ambassador while staying ever close to Palpatine. Think about it…just think about it a little bit. Surely he didn’t achieve this by being an idiot.

Jar-Jar is also seen showing situational awareness, dodging blaster shots, using mind tricks and somehow survives an all-out war between two factions without so much as a scratch on him at the end.

Coincidence, much?

From Episode I onward Jar-Jar is ever present close to Palpatine, The Senate and Padme, he has full influence over Naboo’s fate as its ambassador and has a great deal of power that’s never really discussed.

In fact that power and influence was openly displayed when Jar-Jar was all for granting Palpatine ‘Emergency Powers’ so that The Empire was initially formed. In a deleted scene from Revenge Of The Sith – Palpatine even thanks Jar-Jar for the part he played in bringing him into absolute power.

Just do me a favour…go take a look at Episode 1 again and watch Jar-Jar closely with the idea in your head that he’s a secret Sith Lord…just do it, trust me you’ll see it.

Jar-Jar was the big reveal that never happened. Will Disney pick this up and change Jar-Jar into Snoke? Time will tell…

Werner is a strange one...he quotes a lot of things...incoherently I might add, also he reviews stuff from time to time. We still don't truly understand what he is or where he came from.

To quote him verbatim:

Make sure they see my twitter handle so I can get hookers and drugs.
