It’s been months since we’ve heard anything significant from Hello Games and No Man’s Sky and in the wake of the silence following the ‘Foundation Update’, it would seem the much coveted ‘Explorer’s Edition’ now finally hit delivery from iam8bit.com and the results are less than legendary.

The supposedly limited edition only has 10 000 of its kind and includes a ‘traveller pin’, a ‘hand painted’ 1:35 scale replica ship and some other stuff.

The only problem is those people who finally got their hands on it are reporting such troubles as the model being flimsy, cheap looking, being broken and just overall crappy quality. One guy even found a fingerprint painted onto the side of his ship model.

With the lousy quality of the Explorer’s Edition comes a complete lack of surprise from absolutely everyone.

This is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Hello Games. Over the last year No Man’s Sky and Hello Games have become the joke of the entire industry as well as an example of numerous ‘what not to do’ lessons to other developers across the globe.

There is however a glimmer of hope for those who did get stuck with the Explorer’s Edition and provided it’s broken or something – iam8bit.com is offering refunds through Hello Games which is great because let’s face it – for the price this thing set you back you could have bought enough games on Steam to keep you busy for the next 2 years.

No Man’s Sky recently enjoyed a tiny bit of success after the Foundation Update hit and is now also listed as one of Steam’s best titles of 2016 even though mostly everyone still hates it and the general reaction to the game is negative.

The Foundation Update did add some fun stuff like base building and ‘Creative Mode’ but for me personally the game lost something along the way that it will never recover.

As for Sean Murray or how he’s now known – The biggest bastard in the world. He remains rich and a master at dodging questions. I mean, just look at this guy. Amazing.

Werner is a strange one...he quotes a lot of things...incoherently I might add, also he reviews stuff from time to time. We still don't truly understand what he is or where he came from.

To quote him verbatim:

Make sure they see my twitter handle so I can get hookers and drugs.
