Yup, one 4k projector is simply not good enough anymore, so Canon, in partnership with AV Stumpfl will offer immersive double-4K projection experience at ISE 2016.

From the press release:

Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, will be delivering an exceptional uncompressed 4K video experience at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2016, in cooperation with AV Stumpfl.

Hosted in Canon’s “Beyond 4K” zone (Hall 1, stand F44), the projection will demonstrate the outstanding accuracy and quality of Canon’s 4K technology. A specially produced time-lapse of London – captured by Canon Ambassador and Explorer Simeon Quarrie with a Canon EOS 5DS R – will be brought to life by stitching together two Canon XEED 4K500STs. The content will be projected onto a 4.5m Fullwhite Curve projection screen, designed by AV Stumpfl, providing a solid frame construction and flexible projection surface. The design creates a unique borderless appearance, enabling visitors to the stand have an incredible immersive double-4k experience.

The depth and realism of the installation is achieved through Canon’s unique lens technology and AV Stumpfl’s Wings Engine Raw server that is optimised to stream native 4K uncompressed media at 60fps for a seamless audio-visual experience. The server dramatically reduces the production time and cost by removing the need to convert content. It also supports seamless softedge blending and output warping to ensure images are perfectly displayed on the curved screen without distortion.

“AV Stumpfl is delighted to be partnering with Canon Europe to highlight the advancements in 4K technology. This latest demonstration showcases the superior quality and experience of two leading AV manufacturers in creating unique and engaging installations,” said Rudi Hradil, CMO, AV Stumpfl. “Our award-winning Wings Engine Raw technology is the world’s first four-stream 4K uncompressed media server and provides newer and faster installation functionality. This is a perfect solution for even the most demanding of environments, where our innovative and flexible technology helps to support customers in achieving breath-taking 4K experiences.”

Come and see this immersive projection experience for yourself at the Canon stand (Hall 1, stand F44).

When I asked my mom where I was from she said they caught a wild ape and shaved it… she weren’t joking.

This primate has an unhealthy obsession with all things tech and pc gaming and when not in front of his Battlestation he can be found roaming the Cape wildlands with his motorcycle.
